Thursday 28th June 1917
1st Battalion,
Bedfordshire Regiment has been behind the lines at Roclincourt for the past few
weeks assiduously practising various military techniques. Tonight it is putting
these to the test in an attack on the German lines which will be starting about
now and about which I will write more tomorrow
