6th Battalion,
Bedfordshire Regiment has shortened its line to that shown on the map above. The adjutant remarked to us
that the left company is very well off, with pill boxes to strengthen the
position. The right company is not good, the trenches being so bad, full of
deep mud and water, that several cases of trench foot have been quite
unavoidable.
