R O Wynne
Thursday 9th
September 1915: The Adjutant of the 2nd Battalion tells us that they have
passed, temporarily, under command of another Brigade and is finding working
parties for essential work. Lieutenant R O Wynne has arrived and has taken over
command of C Company.
Their normal Brigadier
has told Commanding Officers to impress upon all ranks the importance of
showing the utmost zeal and energy in any work they may be doing. He has told
them that battalions have always done well when detached from the Brigade and that
he relies on their keeping up the reputation of the Brigade for good work.
