Second Lieutenant J T Coe [X550/1/81]

August: Company Sergeant-Major J T Coe, who has served in the Bedfordshire
Regiment since 1899, has been promoted to a Lieutenancy in the Regiment. Second
Lieutenant Coe has the King and Queen’s South African Medals to his credit.
Whilst serving with the Second Battalion in Flanders in the present campaign,
he was mentioned in despatches. A gunshot wound in the head obtained at Ypres
accounts for his presence with the 3rd Battalion.
