Yesterday 4th
Bedfords, at Puchevillers, were inspected by their brigadier. Today they have
been inspected by the divisional commander Major-General C D Shute CB. The
rumours within the battalion, we are told, have increased ten-fold as theu
receive attention from personages further up the chain of command!
