Thursday 9th November 1916 From our Correspondent in the Field
Thje adjutant
of the 4th Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment, which is at Puchevillers told me
that they have been on parade today. They were inspected by their brigade
commander – Brigadier-General W C G Heneker DSO. He addressed them in words
calculated to lift their martial spirits – so they know they will be going into
action soon.
