Captain H C
Browning has returned to 7th Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment after leave and
has taken over the duties of adjutant. A working party of six officers and four
hundred other ranks is engaged in burying cables behind the front line near
Rouez Camp. Though the front line is well fortified the rear areas in this
sector taken over from the French still need a lot of work to bring them up to
a standard which will allow defence in depth against any German attack.
