Sunday 27th February 1916: So bad has the weather been in France
with heavy falls of snow and freezing temperatures that the adjutant of 2nd Bedfords
tells us that they have been informed that all front line units will be
relieved after just 48 hours in the line. He commented that it will still seem
an eternity.
