Training and Cricket


Thursday 12th July 1917

1st Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment, has been training, practising bayonet fighting, bombing, Lewis Gun firing and musketry as well as doing physical exercises and drill. This afternoon they had a break, playing 16th Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment at cricket, the game being a draw.Tonight three officers and 150 other ranks are to be sent up to the front line for work in communication trenches.
